Larry Thomas, '01- President

After 22 years in the US Marine Corps, Larry is a perfect fit at
SkillStorm, a government and commercial contracting firm that provides solutions
to various federal agencies and the military, as well as some of the nations
Fortune 500 companies. Larry is nationally certified as a Professional in Human
Resources Management and has a Six-Sigma Black Belt in Process Improvement.
Larry holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management, from Troy
State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the California State University at San Marcos. He remains committed
to his alma mater and is the current President of the CSU San Marcos Alumni
Association. Larry previously served on the board as the Vice President and as
the Director of Communications. Larry is as a lifetime member of Psi Chi, the
national honor society in psychology; a founding and lifetime member of the CSU
San Marcos Alumni Association, as well as a member of the Cal-Alpha Gamma
Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity

Johnny Navarro, '97 - Treasurer

Johnny graduated in 1997 with a degree in political science. He obtained a
paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego in 1998. He has worked
as a paralegal for a law firm until he retired in 2006. He has been a member of the
alumni association board since 2001. He served as director of compliance and is now
serving as treasurer.
Kathy Stuart, '04 - Recorder

When
her daughter entered middle school, Kathy decided that it was time to focus on
her educational goals. After several years at Miramar College and attaining her
A.S. in Business Administration, she felt that working at UCSD she needed her
bachelor's degree to move her further along in her career. She graduated cum
laude from CSUSM with her B.S. in Business (service sector emphasis) in 2004 and
decided in 2006 that it was time to give back to her alma mater by volunteering
to serve on the Alumni Board. "Reconnecting with former classmates and other
alumns, has been an especially rewarding experience, and I recommend it highly
to all Cougars past and present."

Ken graduated in 2001 with an
MBA which helped provide better understanding of senior management issues. He
enjoys skiing in the winter and relaxing at the beach in the summer. He
currently resides in Oceanside with Wife of 18 years, Robin and 3 Children -
Alex, Danielle, and Matthew.

After getting married to her
husband Curt in September of 2000, she decided to return to college. She obtained a
Liberal Arts degree from Palomar College before transferring to CSUSM into their
Human Development Program. After graduation she finished out the year by working
for Casa de Amparo as an Intake
Coordinator. In February 2006 she gave birth to their first child Elizabeth. Since
then she has committed herself to being a full time mom and love every moment of
it. With her free time, she volunteer for Casa de Amparo’s fundraising events and
am on the Board of Directors for the Human Development Alumni Chapter.
Rebecca Bousquet, 05'- Membership Development
Rebecca
graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from CSUSM in 2005. Just before graduating,
she began a career as an independent insurance agent in Rancho Bernardo, where
she lives with her fiance, John and cat, Skittles. She is looking forward to
applying back to CSUSM in the near future to pursue a second bachelors degree in
Biology. Rebecca is a new member of the Board and hopes to have a long term
involvement with the Alumni Association. When she is not at work, Rebecca
enjoys reading, traveling, snorkeling and Yoga.

Dubrovsky, '04 - Scholarships

After obtaining a Bachelor of
Science degree in Service Sector Management from CSUSM, Lena pursued a career
with Union Bank of California. She quickly ascended to Project Officer for the
Extreme Sales and Service department, and then was promoted to Project Officer
for the rapidly expanding Company Benefits department. In addition to her
full-time banking career, Lena is the founder and CEO of the "Dubrovsky Canine
Center", a supplier of raw meat, mixes and supplements for canines of all
breeds. She volunteers for many organizations through the bank, and is in the
process of applying for a Masters of Business Administration program in 2008.
Michelle Harvey, '02 - College of Education

Michelle graduated in 2002
with a B.S. in Business Administration. She started on this path as an assistant
for two managers at Coldwell Banker and in 2000 received her real estate
license. After graduating from CSUSM, she then set her sights higher and decided
to start her own real estate company. Michelle received her Broker's license and
then launched Harvey Homes, a full service real estate company that offers sales
and property management. She has been interviewed by the San Diego Business
Journal and has had articles published about her in the San Diego Union Tribune
and The North County Times. Michelle is also a member of the Association of
Realtors. She is happily married to her best friend and fellow CSUSM alumnus,
Jason Harvey ('02). They live in Vista.
Leif Jacobsen, '03- At Large

Leif
graduated CSUSM fall 2003
with degree in Business Administration emphasis finance. He began working at
Merrill Lynch February 2004, managing investment portfolios for high net-worth
individuals. He is involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Riverside
County and the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce and currently resides in Temecula
with his three children Dakota 8, Bailey 6, Dawson 2 months.

Joshua Heers graduated from
CSUSM in the spring of 2002 with a B.S. in Business administration. After
graduating Joshua founded a Real Estate Appraisal business, and enjoyed success
in this field. He further pursued this career by obtaining his real estate
sales license in 2007. Joshua is active in the community through his
participation with the CSUSM Alumni Association as well as his membership in the
Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Jacob Malki is a Senior Loan
Officer and CA licensed Real Estate Broker, working for a global financial
powerhouse JP Morgan Chase. He graduated in 1998 from CSUSM with a BA and he is
currently completing his MBA at the University of Phoenix. He is also a State
of CA Notary Public.
Brian Velasquez, '06 - College of Arts and Sciences

Brian Velasquez graduated in
spring 2006 from CSUSM with a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Criminology &
Justice Studies. He is currently working for the Superior Court of California
for the County of San Diego and he will be entering law school in fall 2008.
Brian actively participates as a member of the CSUSM Alumni Association and the
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

Lori Brockett
Lori
Brockett, originally from Santa Rosa, CA moved to San Diego to attend San Diego
State University. She graduated from SDSU with a BS in Kinesiology in
1998. She began her career in education working for the Rancho Santa Fe
School District and San Dieguito School District before accepting a position at
the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center. From 2000-2007 Lori has been working
her way up from Program Director to Director of Development to Executive
Director. She served as Executive Director for three years during a time
of tremendous growth at the Center. In order to continue her education in
the fundraising arena, she received a Certificate in Fundraising Management from
Indiana University Center on Philanthropy. Lori and her husband Bryan, a
Spanish Teacher at Torrey Pines High School, live with their daughter
Samantha in San Marcos.
Charles Ragland, '96- Past President

Charles Ragland is a Deputy
Attorney General with the California Department of Justice in downtown San
Diego. He has argued cases in the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit
U.S. Court of Appeals. Charles graduated from CSUSM in 1996 with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in political science and was President of the Associated Students,
Inc. from 1995-1996. He is a member of the
Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In 1999, he graduated from the
University Of Texas School Of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He passed the
California bar exam in 1999. Charles served as President of the Alumni
Association from 2002 to 2006. In November 2002, he was inducted into the El
Camino High School Hall of Fame. Charles has
been profiled in San Diego Lawyer Magazine, the CSUSM Blueprint, and the San
Diego Union Tribune.
